Installation Guide

This guide will walk you through the process of installing the Datora Multi-Discount App in your Shopify store.

Prerequisites​

Before installing the app, ensure you have:

  • An active Shopify store
  • Admin access to your Shopify store
  • A plan that supports discount code creation

Installation Steps​

Step 1: Find the App​

  1. Visit the Shopify App Store
  2. Search for "Datora Multi-Discount" or visit the app's listing page directly
  3. Click on the app to view its details

Step 2: Install the App​

  1. Click the Add app button on the app listing page
  2. You will be redirected to your Shopify admin panel
  3. Review the permissions that the app requires:
    • Read and write products
    • Read and manage discounts
    • Read and write payment customizations
  4. Click Install app to confirm

Step 3: Initial Setup​

After installation, you'll be directed to the app's welcome screen:

  1. Grant Permissions: The app will request necessary permissions to manage discounts in your store
  2. Select a Plan: Choose a pricing plan that fits your needs (see Plans & Pricing)
  3. Configure Settings: Set up your basic preferences in the Settings page

Step 4: Configure Theme Extensions (Optional)​

To display discounts on your product pages:

  1. Go to your Shopify Admin
  2. Navigate to Online Store > Themes
  3. Click Customize on your active theme
  4. In the theme editor, find sections where you want to display discounts
  5. Add the Datora Multi-Discount app block
  6. Save your changes

Verification​

To verify that the app is installed correctly:

  1. Open the Datora Multi-Discount app from your Shopify admin
  2. You should see the main dashboard
  3. Try creating a test discount campaign (you can delete it later)
  4. Check that the discount appears in your Shopify admin under Discounts

Troubleshooting Installation Issues​

App doesn't appear after installation​

If the app doesn't appear in your Shopify admin:

  1. Refresh your browser
  2. Clear your browser cache
  3. Log out and log back into your Shopify admin
  4. Check if the app appears in Apps section

Permission errors​

If you encounter permission errors:

  1. Make sure you're logged in as the store owner or have admin privileges
  2. Try reinstalling the app
  3. Contact support at apps@datora.de

Theme extension not showing​

If discount displays don't appear on your storefront:

  1. Verify the theme extension is enabled in the theme editor
  2. Check that you've selected the correct product sections
  3. Make sure you have active discount campaigns
  4. Clear your storefront cache
