Multi-Discount Campaigns
Multi-Discount Campaigns are the core feature of the Datora Multi-Discount App. They allow you to create complex, multi-layered discount strategies that go beyond simple percentage or fixed-amount discounts.
What are Multi-Discount Campaigns?​
A Multi-Discount Campaign is a promotional offer that can:
- Apply different discount types simultaneously
- Target specific products, collections, or variants
- Include multiple conditions and requirements
- Schedule activation and expiration automatically
- Work as automatic discounts or require a code
Creating a Campaign​
Basic Configuration​
Discount Title
- Internal name for your reference
- Should be descriptive (e.g., "Black Friday 2025 - Electronics")
- Not visible to customers
Discount Code
- Optional: Leave blank for automatic discounts
- Required: Enter code for customer-entered discounts
- Use alphanumeric characters (e.g., "SAVE20")
- Must be unique across all campaigns
Active Dates
- Start Date: When the discount becomes available
- End Date: When the discount expires (optional)
- Uses your store's timezone
- Can be scheduled in advance
Discount Types​
Percentage Discount​
Reduces the price by a percentage.
Example: 20% off all summer clothing
- Discount Type: Percentage
- Discount Value: 20
- Applies to: Summer Collection
Best For:
- Seasonal sales

Fixed Amount Discount​
Reduces the price by a specific dollar amount.
Example: $10 off orders over $50

Volume-Based Discounts​
Offers tiered pricing based on quantity.

Product Selection​
All Products​
Applies discount to everything in your store.
When to Use:
- Store-wide sales
- Seasonal promotions
- Grand opening events
Specific Products​
Target individual products by searching and selecting them.
When to Use:
- Overstocked items
- Featured products
- New releases
Collections​
Apply to all products in one or more collections.
When to Use:
- Category sales (e.g., all shoes)
- Brand promotions
- Seasonal categories
Product Variants​
Target specific variants like size or color.
When to Use:
- Clearance of specific sizes
- Color-specific promotions
- End-of-season sizing
Conditions and Requirements​
Minimum Purchase Amount​
Customers must spend at least this amount to qualify.
Example: Spend $100, get 15% off
- Encourages larger cart sizes
- Increases average order value
Minimum Quantity​
Customers must buy at least this many qualifying items.
Example: Buy 3 or more t-shirts, get 20% off
- Moves inventory faster
- Encourages bulk purchases

Usage Limits​
Per Customer​
Limit how many times each customer can use the discount.
Example: One use per customer
- Prevents abuse

Total Usage​
Cap total number of redemptions across all customers.
Example: First 100 customers only
- Creates urgency
- Controls costs
- Limited-time offers
Combining Discounts​
Stackability​
Control whether this discount can combine with others.
Options:
- Not Stackable: Only this discount applies
- Stackable with Automatic: Can combine with auto discounts
- Stackable with All: Can combine with any discount
Important: Shopify's native discount stacking rules apply. Typically, only one discount code can be used per order.
Advanced Features​
Priority Settings​
When multiple discounts could apply, set priority:
- Highest Discount: Apply the best deal for customer
- Priority Order: Use numbered priority (1 is highest)
- First Match: Use first eligible discount
Exclusions​
Exclude specific items from the campaign:
- Exclude certain products
- Exclude sale items
- Exclude specific collections
- Exclude discounted items
Display Options​
Control how the discount appears:
- Badge Text: Custom text for product badges
- Badge Color: Customize badge appearance
- Show Savings: Display amount saved
- Hide on Collections: Don't show in collection pages
Campaign Management​
Editing Active Campaigns​
You can edit most campaign settings while active:
- Discount amount (use caution)
- Product selection
- Conditions
- End date
Cannot Edit:
- Discount code (must create new campaign)
- Start date (if already started)
Pausing Campaigns​
Temporarily disable without deleting:
- Toggle the Active switch off
- Campaign stops applying immediately
- Toggle on to resume
Duplicating Campaigns​
Create similar campaigns quickly:
- Click Duplicate on existing campaign
- Modify details as needed
- Save as new campaign
Archiving Campaigns​
Keep records without cluttering your list:
- Wait for campaign to end naturally
- Or manually end by setting end date to past
- Archived campaigns appear in Past filter
Best Practices​
Naming Conventions​
Use consistent naming for easy management:
- Include date/season: "Q4-2025-Holiday"
- Include discount amount: "20OFF-Electronics"
- Include channel: "Email-Subscribers-Winter"
Testing​
Always test new campaigns:
- Create campaign in draft mode
- Test with test orders
- Verify discount applies correctly
- Check edge cases (minimum requirements, etc.)
- Activate when confident

Inform customers clearly:
- Email announcements
- Social media posts

- Clear terms and conditions
Timing​
Strategic scheduling:
- Holidays: Plan weeks in advance
- Weekends: Higher shopping traffic
- Month-End: Payment cycles
