Managing Jobs

The Datora Bulk Gift Cards app provides a central dashboard to monitor, manage, and track all your gift card creation jobs.

Dashboard Overview​

The main dashboard shows all your gift card jobs with key information at a glance:

  • Job status and real-time progress
  • Monthly usage stats compared to your plan limit
  • All-time stats including total cards created and total value generated

Monthly Usage​

Your dashboard displays your current monthly usage against your plan's limit. This helps you track how many gift cards you have created this billing cycle and how many remain available.

All-Time Stats​

View cumulative statistics across all your jobs:

  • Total Cards Created: The total number of gift cards generated across all jobs
  • Total Value: The combined monetary value of all gift cards created

Job Statuses​

Each job progresses through one or more of the following statuses:

RunningGift cards are actively being created
CompletedAll gift cards have been created successfully
FailedAn error occurred during processing
CancelledJob was manually cancelled before completion

Real-Time Progress​

While a job is running, the dashboard shows live progress:

  • Number of cards completed out of the total
  • Progress updates in real time without needing to refresh the page

Job Actions​

Cancel​

Stop a running or pending job before it completes. Cards that have already been created will remain in your Shopify store, but no additional cards will be generated.

Retry​

If a job fails, you can retry it. The app will attempt to create the remaining gift cards that were not completed during the original run.

Duplicate (Basic+)​

On Basic plans and above, you can duplicate an existing job to create a new job with the same settings. This is useful for repeating a previous batch without re-entering all the configuration.

  1. Find the job you want to duplicate
  2. Click Duplicate
  3. Review and modify the settings if needed
  4. Submit the new job

Job Details​

Click on any job to view its full details.

Gift Card Listing​

The job detail page shows all gift cards created in the job:

  • Paginated list (25 cards per page)
  • Individual gift card codes
  • Job metadata (value, creation date, status, note)

Usage Tracking (Premium+)​

On Premium plans and above, the job detail page includes a Usage Tracking tab that shows:

  • Redemption status of each gift card (redeemed, partially redeemed, unredeemed)
  • Current balance remaining on each card
  • Original value vs. remaining value

This helps you monitor how your gift cards are being used and identify unredeemed cards.

Deactivation (Premium+)​

On Premium plans and above, you can manually deactivate gift cards from the job detail page. Deactivation permanently disables the gift card so it can no longer be redeemed.

Important:

  • Deactivation is permanent and cannot be undone
  • Deactivating a gift card does not free up your monthly plan quota
  • Only deactivate cards you are sure should no longer be valid

Best Practices​

Monitoring​

  • Check job progress regularly, especially for large batches
  • Review failed jobs promptly and retry if needed
  • Use notes to keep track of each job's purpose

Organization​

  • Use descriptive notes when creating jobs for easy identification later
  • Download completed jobs promptly (download windows vary by plan)
  • Review usage tracking to understand gift card redemption patterns
